FURY'S BACKYARD BBQ TIPS: WHAT MAKES DVRT TRAINING SPECIAL?

Hey strong folks! In honor of the glorious summer ahead of us, I've decided to kick off Fury's Backyard BBQ Fitness Tips. I can't think of a better way to launch this rocket than by discussing something that I get asked a lot, what makes DVRT Training so special and unique? It is a great question. I know it keeps you up at night. Let me help you regain those healthy sleeping patterns by giving you this small taste of what makes Dynamic Variable. Resistance Training so badass.
There are several standout items that make DVRT fantastic. For now, I'll focus on two of my favorites.

1. The use of progressive overload by changing the positioning of the body within a lift. This means that as we get strong using a particular Ultimate Sandbag, we can make it more difficult by adjusting our stance. The same USB suddenly feels heavier. We don't have to worry about adding plates to a bar or getting a heavier USB (at least not right away).

2. On a similar front, we can alter the plane of motion to increase the difficulty of the USB during a lift. We can take lifts that are primarily practiced in the sagittal plane (front to back) and add rotation. As a progression option, the Ultimate Sandbag and the transverse plane of motion are a match made in heaven.

Both of these key factors, can safely deliver dramatic results to your students with very little investment in equipment. Believe me when I say that these two points are only scratching the surface of DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training awesomeness.

Want to get hands on with the system? Click to find a DVRT Workshop or Certification near you.

If you want to get a chance to learn directly from yours truly, I'll be running a DVRT Workshop on Sunday August 3rd at Five Points Academy. I'll also be teaching a DVRT Level I Certification on Saturday November 1 at Catalyst SPORT. There will also be an HKC Kettlebell Certification the next day at Catalyst SPORT. Discount pricing is available if you sign up for both certifications that weekend. You can REGISTER HERE.

Keep your eyes peeled for my fun from my backyard. Have a great and strong summer!
